David Ortiz can occur in each round wins 2010 Home Run Derby. Ortiz hit 11 in the final sessions. Hanley Ramirez finished second. Ramirez hit just five runs in the final.
Ortiz never seemed to tire. He hit eight home runs in the first, but it was good enough to advance. Then he hit 13 in the second round. Just when you thought it was falling apart, he goes out and beats 11 in the final.
It was really a time papi to tell the world: Hey, I can still hit. Of course, the Home Run Derby means nothing at all. Sometimes it comes down to luck. But let's take this time because, after this show, you really deserve it.
