Ganguly Back in the IPL 2011 with Pune Warriors

A former Indian captain Ganguly signed for pune warriors in place of injured fast bowler Ashish Nehra or IPL4, which was said by pune warrior director Abhijit Sarkar told IANS that Ganguly joins in team on Tuesday.

Ganguly, who was captain of Kolkata Knight Riders for the first and third season of Indian premier league, was unsolded in January by Shah Rukh Khan as well as nine others who didn't bid for him during the auction.

He was first assayed by Kochi Tuskers Kerala but their application was rejected by the IPL''s Governing Council.

“We came to know about Ashish Nehra’s injury and fitness report Monday. The team has been battling a string of injuries to key players like Tim Paine, Angelo Mathews and now Nehra. So we went with the best option available after discussing with our coach and team management,” Sarkar told IANS.

“He told that he is not playing for money but to prove a point.”
