Kentucky Derby Fastest Winning Times


Kentucky Derby is the most foreboded horse race, every year held at Churchill Downs in Louisville annually on the first Saturday of May, this year it fell at 7th may. Capping the two-week-long Kentucky Derby Festival with over 70 events planned in this year.  Race is one and a quarter mile (2 km) at Churchill Downs colts and geldings carry 126 pounds (57 kg), fillies 121 pounds (55 kg). The race is known for United States as "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports" (or) "The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports" for its approximate duration, and is also called "The Run for the Roses".

The Kentucky Derby is a stakes race for three-year-old thoroughbred horses. Rosie Napravnik finished ninth in the Kentucky Derby aboard Pants but left Churchill Downs with a handful of roses just the same.  She blasted a history as the first female jockey to go to top10 in 137 runnings of classic.

John velazquez, lost his game on uncle mo on Friday, Animal Kingdom chased down Shackleford and won 137th Kentucky Derby. Animal kingdom was trained by Graham Motion.
