Young MVP award Winner Derrick Rose


Derrick Rose was given Maurice Podoloff Trophy, finished with 1,182 points including 113 first-place votes, from a panel of 120 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada as well as an NBA MVP fan vote.

He was first player from Steve Nash in 2005 to win the MVP award, not receiving any votes in the previous years, chaired Bulls to an NBA-best 62-20 mark. He also became the seventh player in NBA history with average at least 25.0 points, 7.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds, uniting Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James.

Derrick Rose is the American professional basketball player who plays for Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was the “NBA Rookie of the Year “of his draft class and he became NBA All-Star by his second season at the age of 22, in 2011. He was called as the youngest recipient of the NBA basketball.
