Carlos Tevez  who was a hero for Argentina scored a goal in each half and was ably assisted by Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain who scored the third goal.

Tevez scored the first goal in the 25th minute as Messi lifted the ball towards Tevez who despite being in an offside position placed the ball in the goal.

Higuain doubled the lead in the 32nd minute when he outfoxed Osorio and Perez and placed the ball into an open net.

Tevez scored his second goal in the 51st minute from a wonderful strike from 25yards out as keeper Perez could not do anything to prevent it from going in.

Javier Hernandez pulled a goal back in the 71st minute as he blasted the ball past Romero after leaving Demichelis for dead but it was too late by then.
