French Open 2010 result: Melanie Oudin eliminated in the first round

Melanie Oudin who played with Anabel Medina Garrigues defeated the American teenager in straight sets 7-5, 6-2. It is her second consecutive Grand Slam event that Oudin has lost in the first round and if a similar fate befalls her at Wimbledon, then Oudin's ranking will drop drastically as she made the round of 16 at the All England Club last year.

Garrigues will now likely face Russian star Elena Dementieva who has yet to play her first round match but is favored to advance.
