Jackson vs Evans UFC 114 Live Betting

Jackson vs Evans UFC 114 Live Betting: On Saturday night two of mixed martial arts most talented and well known fighters square off in a long anticipated light-heavyweight showdown.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, back after over a years hiatus from the octagon, is trying to work his way back into title contention after leaving the UFC in March of 2009. He is taking on his most hated rival, former light heavyweight champ “Suga” Rashad Evans.

After losing his light heavyweight belt to Forrest Griffin last year, Jackson fought twice then left the UFC to play Mr. T’s character in the new A-Team movie.

In the meantime, Rashad Evans scooped up his belt by knocking out Griffin, then relinquishing it after his first ever loss at the hands of Lyoto Machida.

These two were scheduled to fight after they were both opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter reality series, but it never occurred due to Jackson’s foray into acting.

Now they finally get at it, they are both set at -115 heading into the fight.

UFC 114 – Jackson vs Evans

Quinton Jackson (-115) vs Rashad Evans (-115)

The immediate edge in this fight has to go to Evans due to Jackson’s inactivity for over a year. Rampage came into hs training camp weighing 250 pounds, and not only needed to cut more than 40 pounds to make weight, but he needed to get his cardio into fight shape. Rashad on the other hand has remained active for the entire year, and even under normal circumstances Evans’ cardio is off the charts compared to Jackson.

Another edge to Rashad is the ability of his trainer Greg Jackson to game plan sophisticated fight strategies to exploit opponents weaknesses.

The only factor that may put Jackson in the drivers seat is his aggressive, one punch power, and his ability to take damage long enough to end a fight…fast.

Prediction: Evans (-115) via unanimous decision
