Lebron James decides where he wants to play in Next Basketball Season

As NBA playoff betting continues, Lebron James decides where he wants to play his basketball next season. Doing the talkshow circuit, James has been showcasing his appeal, his intellect and his priorities. While some questioned his drive late in the Cavs’ second round playoff series with Boston, James has been doing what he can to repair his reputation and earn himself what could be the NBA’s biggest payday of all-time.

Sports Betting features odds on where he’ll end up playing this fall. We ask the simple question of whether or not he’ll be back in Cleveland next season. According to James, he says that the Cavs have the inside track. However, with all of the choices and big markets available to Lebron and his agent, you have to figure he’ll bolt for greener pastures.

Currently, James is -170 to play somewhere else next season, with +130 that he will be back in Cleveland. One thing to keep in mind is that James is from Ohio, so his family and friends may have a say in him staying in Cleveland, but the possibilities are certainly tempting.

James has been rumored to be going several teams in the east, including the Bulls, Knicks and Heat. New York is attractive purely from a marketing perspective, as the Knicks have very little on their roster that would be able to support James’ desire to win a title right away.

In Chicago, the Bulls have been a good team and a playoff team the last few years. The unofficial recent hire of Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau as their new head coach may entice James. Thibodeau is known as a very good defensive coach, an element that has helped Boston reach the NBA finals for the second time in three years. James and another free agent could land in Chitown together.

Then there’s Miami. Everyone expects Dwayne Wade to remain with the Heat. The question is whether or not he will be able to attract another star to come to South Beach. Should James make the move, he will be reunited with a former Team USA teammate. But the question is whether or not James is interested in sharing the spotlight and the ball with a player the ilk of Wade.

Convention says he leaves, but the notion of James being the man for his entire career in one city is interesting. Let’s face it. There’s nothing else going on in Cleveland and he could be the kind of the who region for years to come.
